The Montgomery Philharmonic, Inc. is excited to again offer a free Summer Reading Session as part of its 2014-2015 season. The reading session is open to musicians of all ages who are accomplished enough to play in a symphony orchestra and who have reasonable sight-reading skills.

Each reading session will primarily be a read through with some rehearsal. Doubling is expected and acceptable. We really want lots of people at each session, so please pass this information on to all of your friends. You may register online for sessions or email Amanda Laudwein, Manager, at

Hornists of the National Symphony will be playing and giving masterclasses at Catholic University in Washington DC as part of DC Horn Day from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The National Symphony Orchestra horn section (Abel Pereira, Laurel Ohlson, James Nickel, Scott Fearing, Joy Hodges Branagan, and Chandra Cervantes) will be featured in addition to the US Army Horn Quartet (SSG Kelly Satterwhite, SFC Shawn Hagen, SSG Christy Klenke, SFC Rob Craven). L & L Music-Wind Shop will be on hand with a sampling of instruments, accessories, and sheet music.
